On Jomo Kenyatta: Commentary by Alphonse Okuku

On August 14, 1961 Jomo Kenyatta, leader of the Kenyan independence movement, was released by British colonial authorities after nearly nine years of improisonment and detention. Alphonse Okuku, vice-president of the Kenya Student Union and who works with a Local in the United Auto Workerrs, also brother of Tom Mboya, head of the Kenya African National Union, talks about Jomo Kenyatta's life, politics and imprisonment.
